As the football season heads towards an exciting climax, the 10 domestic fixtures you must watch

content_img

data-js=”article-body” data-insert-mobile-adslot>3) Burnley vs Cardiff (April 13)

his game looks to be most crucial between now and the end of the season in the fight to avoid the drop. Burnley sit two points above Cardiff having lost their previous four Premier League games. They play Bournemouth and Wolves between now and this big match, while Cardiff have the daunting task of facing Chelsea and Man City. It could be the teams are still separated by two points come April 13. If that is the reality, it will be a must-win game for Neil Warnock’s side if they are to avoid the drop. It is also a hugely-important game in Burnley’s season as their final four matches are tricky: Chelsea (a), Man City (h), Everton (a), Arsenal (h). Cardiff still have to play Brighton, Fulham and Crystal Palace after this game.

4) Liverpool vs Chelsea (April 14)

This is the final of the top-six fixtures Liverpool have during the run-in. The history between the two sides is rich: Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea went to Anfield in April 2014 and won 2-0 to ultimately destabilise Liverpool’s title bid. At least this time Liverpool know it’s unlikely Maurizio Sarri will go there and play 10 men behind the ball as Mourinho did five years ago. Indeed, Sarri’s Chelsea may well play into Jurgen Klopp’s hands. Liverpool will be confident they can beat Chelsea on their own patch but if the league is in their hands once this game comes around then Anfield is sure to be full of nervous excitement.

5) Walsall vs Southend (April 19)

hris Powell was sacked by Southend after 11 games without a win, a run stretching back to January 19. At that point, Southend were 10th and just nine points from a play-off place. Sinn Newcastle United. The 27-year-old forward was linked to a move to Tyneside following the Magpies’ promotion to the Premier League under Rafa Benitez in 2017.Jose told Marca: “For me the best team is Real Madrid and then Barcelona. I could be in the ce then though they have fallen like a stone and are now down in 20th with only goal difference keeping them out of the relegation places. The side below Southend are Walsall, who have only won two from 11 games themselves. Both sides aeat to Liverpool.Cherries are now on their worst losing run since promotion to the top flight, with losses against Newcastle, Wolves, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, as well as the setback against the Reds. Howe said: “I don’t want to make the excusere level on points as things stand so this game on April 19th could well decide which turns their season around to stay in League One. Harry Bunn scored twice as Southend comfortably beat Walsall 3-0 at Roots Hall in October. But Walsall will be fighting for survival and it promises to be a hotly-contested affair just three games from the end of the season.

6) Man City vs Tottenham (April 20)

Spurs’ record at the Etihad Stadium over the last decade has not been too strong. They have won just once there since that famous Peter Crouch goal which gave them Champions League football back in 2010. In the eight times since then, they have conceded 23 goals. The intriguing part about this fixture is it comes off the back of a two-legged Champions League tie between the sides, something which could have a huge psychological impact. It also comes in the middle of a pivotal week for City as they host Spurs twice and then travel to Old Trafford. So can one of the teams claim three victories? If Tottenham are taken apart in the Champions League, they may be on the end of a similar City performance to the one that put six past Chelsea in February.

7) Leyton Orient vs Solihull Moors (April 22nd)

The biggest game outside of the English Football League by a mile. The penultimate day of the season in the National League sees current table toppers Leyton Orient take on the team currently level on points and in second place on goal difference, Solihull Moors. Orient are bidding to get back into League Two at the second time of asking while Solihull have yet to reach England’s fourth tier since they were founded 11 years ago. With three teams going up, both sides are in line for automatic promotion but Wrexham and Salford City are both within earshot of top spot. There are many permutations that could be in play when April 22nd rolls around, but it’s likely both teams will be in the mix.

8) Manchester United vs Man City (24th April)

This is likely to be one of the games that decides the title. City will come into the Manchester derby having played six games in 17 days including an FA Cup semi-final and a two-legged Champions League quarter-final against Spurs. They can take solace in the fact that United will also have played five games in three weeks, though Solskjaer’s side are growing into a season after some incredibly sluggish displays under Mourinho pre-Christmas. But City have only lost once at Old Trafford in the league since 2011 and beat their fierce rivals convincingly 3-1 at the Etihad back in November. Meanwhile, United should still be in top four contention and would love to beat City on the way to achieving that, even if it did mean handing Liverpool the title.

9) Championship Play-Off Final (27th April)

t is estimated that Fulham’s Championship Play-Off Final win last season made them £160m in revenue and the number only increases every season. But it isn’t just the money. If you look at the teams in the play-off positions at present – Leeds, West Brom, Middlesbrough, Aston Villa – all of those sis down to draw with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.Christian Eriksen, who wants to leave the club before Monday’s European transfer deadline, finished from close range to open the scoring after 10 minutes.Granit Xhaka’s rash challenge on Heung-min Son ides have tasted Premier League football in the past and their fans will be hungrier than anyone to get back there. It is often more of a tense, emotional affair than a platform for exciting football – only six goals have been scored in the last six Championship Play-Off finals – but it is one that is captivating in its own way. In an era where Premier League football is everything, the Championship Play-Off final showcases just what it means to both players and fans. Despite most people’s belief that finishing third is a curse, it is actually the position that produces the most winners – 11 out of 30 Championship play-offs have been won by the side which finished third in the table.

10) FA Cup Final (18th May)

Perhaps the FA Cup Final is no longer the biggest game of the domestic season given the importance and money that is now behind the Premier League. But this year’s FA Cup semi-finals involve three teams which have not won the competition since 1960, and another other side who are going for an unprecedented quadruple, of which this could be the completion of the domestic treble (which has also never been done before in England). If Brighton beat City then the final will be an exhilarating atmosphere between two unlikely trophy contenders. If City do get there, it will be David vs Goliath and that in itself provides a captivating spectacle. Whatever the make-up of the final, for most it will always be one of the biggest games of the season and a perfect curtain-closer to what has been a tremendously compelling campaign.

How Man City can get back on track and what Arsenal will do to stop it

content_img

data-js=”article-bdion Ighalo offers them something different.Ighalo could start tonight at Europa League opponents Club Brugge.“Well for me Odion is a different type of striker for us,” Solskjaer told reporters in Belgium.“He’s a box striker, he’s a goalscorer. Wody” data-insert-mobile-adslot>

. A mid-press is the most likely strategy and this will leave space for City to hit direct passes in behind, something that the forwards must constantly look for. If Arsenal press high it could lead to scoring chances for City, as defenders pass their way out from the back to reach an exposed, vulnerable Gunners midfield.

Arsenal will almost certainly attempt to the block the middle of the pitch to force City’s play wide. City must make the pitch as wide possible to allow forward passes to be played through central areas, having the wingers hug the touchlines to stretch the space between defending midfielders or defenders. This frees up space between bodies to fire the ball to advanced players quickly through the middle.

The wingers must ensure they stay wide to stretch the pitch and create these passing lanes, taking care not to drift inside too early or run into dead ends. Sterling was guilty of doing this against Newcastle.

4-1-2-1-2 and how it caters for Mesut Ozil

Arsenal are great in possession but lack a killer final ball. Mesut Ozil is one of the best in Europe at making that pass but offers nothing defensively. To cater for Ozil, Emery can play three defensive-minded midfielders to provide a barrier in a 4-4-2 diamond, a formation Arsenal have used in their previous two Premier League matches.

All three of Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi and Granit Xhaka can carry the ball aam.The midfielder revealed that Bruce pinpointed West Ham’s tendency to play a high line and deployed Shelvey to pick holes in their defence.Shelvey told NUFC TV: “We know that Pellegrini’s teams like to play a high line.”The gaffer spoke about it bend play neat forward passes through the centre of the park at Premier League level – all of Arsenal’s players are good at this – the problem is finding that magic end product in the final third.

Man City are the home team and, simply, better than Arsenal. For this reason Emery will almost certainly start without Ozil in a more defensive shape.

Arsenal built for the counter-attack

Newcastle pulled off a shock win over Man City by blocking passing lanes and defending resiliently in a 5-4-1. The wide midfielders doubled up on City’s wingers in wide areas to make sure defenders were never outnumbered by rival attackers, with Ayoze Perez darting forward during attacks to a more central position beside the striker, overlapped by the right back.

Arsenal could attempt to frustrate City in a 3-4-3 shape with the forwards dropping into midfield when out of possession just as Newcastle did. If they can keep City quiet for the majority of the game, eventually cracks will appear to make counter-attacks a possibility.

Before they can race up the pitch, Arsenal need to ensure that they frustrate City with their defensive shape. The 3-4-3 can easily become a 5-4-1 with Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang droppingright to turn things around. The Argentine’s five-year stint at Spurs came to an end on Tuesday after a poor start to the Premier League season. But after leading the club to their first Champions League final in June, the THST believes Pochettino didn to a left midfield position (LM), supported by the left-back Sead Kolasinac (LB). The idea is to push play wide, then backwards and repeat until City give the ball away.

The pace of Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette will cause big problems if Man City are caught with too many players ahead of the ball. Employing a slightly deeper press suits their physical attributes – expect a mid-press or low block to ensure City leave space in behind their defensive line to suit pacy strikers.

Dealing with injuries

Laurent Koscielny may not be able to play due to a jaw injury. Sokratis, Bellerin and Holding are all definitely out while Maitland-Niles is a doubt – Arsenal don’t have (m)any defenders left and unless they wish to play Xhaka at centre-back again, will have to field a weakened back four instead of a three simply due to numbers available.

Man City’s forwards will be keen to test any vulnerability at the back, particularly Kolasinac’s tendency to drift forward and leave space vacant behind. Riyad Mahrez has often caused problems for Arsenal in the past and may well start on the right wing to test this theory, with Sterling running at whoever has to fill in at right-back.

The Arsenal centre-backs must watch for City’s trademark move in particular; a winger gets to the line and fakes to cross low into the box, before cutting the pass back to the penalty spot, or edge of the box for a waiting forward to slot past a bamboozled goalkeeper.

Robert Woods keeping his sister's word alive

content_img

She was his best friend and a person he looked up to and respected. Not just because she was family. She was his only sibling. Robert Woods’ older sister, Olivia, was a model student, a quality softball pitcher and well-liked by anyone who knew her. For Robert she was a role model and a confidante, but at just 17-years old Olivia Woods was uttering the last words she would ever speak to her younger brother. She was now confiding in him.

Diagnosed with synovial cell sarcoma in her leg at age 12, Olivia had reached the end of a courageous five-year battle that included chemotherapy, radiation and a leg amputation. Meanwhile Robert, two years her junior, was emerging as a budding football star at their high school, Serra, in southern California.

Even from the confines of her bed Olivia reminded Robert to stay humble, but in April 2007, knowing the next words she would speak would be among the last she uttered in the physical world, Olivia had to let her brother in on the conversation she often had with her mother.

“She was a role model for him and she always told me that Robert was going to be special,” said Sharon Woods of her daughter. “I remember Robert telling me that his sister was special, but she really meant it when she would tell me, ‘No, he’s really going to be really something special mom.’ I always was taken with her conviction with what she said.”

In her home with her family by her bed side for the last time she would give her brother some words to live by.

“Her last words to me were that she wanted me to be a model,” Woods said. “And I said, ‘Model? What do you mean?’ So she said it again, ‘I want you to be a model.’ And then it clicked that she was maybe seeing something that I couldn’t. So I took it as, be a role model. Always be positive. Be positive in life. Those were her last words to me. So I guess the whole time here with us she kept me humble, humble, humble and then her last words she put it on me.”

Be a role model.

Not a surprising request from an older sister who was as selfless as they come. After having her leg amputated and returning to school as an early teen, Olivia didn’t want anyone to know she was walking around with a prosthetic leg. Her family adhered to her wishes. She didn’t want any extra attention because she was battling cancer.

When she went to get a summer job she told her mother there would be no mention of her medical condition. She wanted to get the job based on her skills not pity.

“She just wanted to make her own way,” said Mrs. Woods. “She learned how to swim again. In high school she was elected school secretary of state. She was on yearbook committee. She was a real go-getter. We just honored her that way by letting her be herself.”

Being a first-hand witness to all of Olivia’s fighting over those five years only strengthened Robert’s own resolve in everything he put his mind to.

“Robert was the same way,” said Sharon Woods. “He saw her work so hard and fight. She was a strong fighter. I think that rubbed off on him as he got older.”

Long before Olivia’s struggle however, Robert was a pker Antoine Griezmann.Mundo Deportivo says United have entered the race to sign Griezmann this summer.United are monitoring a move for the French World Cup winner and insist that there is no deal agreed for him to join Barcelona yet.The report also aretty self-motivated kid. It didn’t matter what the activity was. Whether it was tee ball, checkers or school work the Woods’ only son didn’t take on any challenge, he attacked it.

“He wasn’t very quiet, he always smiled and laughed. He was always an overachiever,” said his mother. “He always wanted to do things perfectly. He always wanted to be first.”

“In baseball when he was young he always wanted to cover everybody else’s position,” said Mrs. Woods. “We would tell him, ‘You stay there.’ But wherever the ball would go he wanted to go get the ball.”

“Pretty much the whole outfield was mine whether it was left field or right field,” Woods said smiling. “If the ball was in the air I’d try to go and get it.”

In the fall Woods would play in the very competitive park football league in his hometown of Carson. To illustrate how competitive it was, Woods played on a roster with four other talents who also currently play in the NFL.

“The majority of the teams had a lot of talented players,” said Woods father Robert Jr. “And Robert’s team was talented. Paul Richardson, who was a rookie receiver this past year with Seattle, and Dion Bailey also with Seattle were on his team. Marqise Lee, who plays for Jacksonville. Shaq Richardson now with Pittsburgh was on that team. So as a result there were a lot of kids that had to touch the ball on his team.”

That would prove to be an adjustment for Woods, who wanted to do as much as possible to help his team win.

Woods was making a lot of plays to help his team, but maybe a few too many. Other parents weren’t thrilled with all the opportunities Woods was getting with tnized” by their recent European ban.The Sky Blues have been banned from Champions League football for two seasons, although they are appealing UEFA’s decision. And Rodgers thinks the situation will provide Pep Guardiola’s players with an added motivathe ball, often at the expense of other players who were just as talented. Woods’ parents quickly made Robert understand the value of teamwork.

“We impressed upon him that other players on his team had to get chances with the ball too,” said Robert’s father. “So we told him he had to share the ball with other players.”

The ultra-competitive Woods wasn’t thrilled with the idea, but his father had a solution to appease his son.

“I came up with a phrase for him called ‘touches for touchdowns,'” said Woods. “Whenal.Fotomac reports Arsenal are ahead in the chase to sign the player, who only joined Juventus from Sassuolo in the summer. The Turkish starlet is rising to prominence in Turin this season, starting the last four games in a row under Maurizio Sarri, n you get it you’re going to have to score. He was happy as long as he had two touchdowns a game. So in Pop Warner he would average about 20 touchdowns a season in a 12 to 14 game season depending on whether his team made it to the ‘Super Bowl.'”

That phrase led to a ritual developed by his parents to keep their son’s mindset in the right place before every game thereafter.

“The night before games we would try to come up with a new slogan for him for that game the next day,” said Robert Woods Jr., who played his college football at Grambling. “And if we didn’t do it he’d ask for the new saying for that game. So we’d try to give him a confident quote to motivate him for the game.”

“Being a Christian family we would make use of faith-based quotes as well,” said his mother. “It helps keep him focused and uplifted. He looks for that text message from us even now and the day of the game we always text him in the morning and remind him to have fun.”

Goal setting was encouraged by Robert’s parents. While Woods was clearly self-motivated, Robert and Sharon Woods wanted to ensure their son’s energies had the proper direction. Hanging by the door in his room was a white marker board. On it were his goals as he got ready to begin high school.

“The board was right by my door so when I’d leave my room I’d see it every day,” said Woods. “So I’d write my goals down for the season and I had my GPA up there. I wrote down everything I wanted. Then I would write under it how I was going to accomplish those goals. Then I’d cross them off as I achieved them and write new ones down.”

Woods chose to attend Serra high school, which had a small enrollment of just 600 kids. It wouldn’t put Robert on as big a stage as some of the larger area high schools, but his mind was made up two years prior when his older sister chose to attend high school there.

Unfortunately the siblings only got to spend one semester at the school together because Olivia soon became too sick to attend school. Robert, who knew how much his sister enjoyed the social scene at Serra, would report to her every day as soon as he got home from school.

“He would run up the stairs and go up to her room,” said Mrs. Woods. “The first thing he would do is go see her and tell her about his day. They were very close. That was a very emotional time for all of us, but especially for him.”

“She was really my best friend,” said Woods. “So when I’d come home I’d tell her about everything that was happening at school, who asked about her and events that were going on at school, how games went.

“It would put a smile on her face because she was missing it. I was her connection to that social life for her. She was probably the most popular person in our school. People to this day remember her birthday. She touched so many lives and everybody would come up to me and talk to me about her so I would come home and spread the word to her.”

Robert would talk to her about how his football season was going. As a freshman on JV he quarterbacked his team to an undefeated season, and then was called up to varsity at the end of the year. As a safety he intercepted a pass in a playoff loss, and returned it 90-plus yards for a touchdown.

Unfortunately Olivia’s condition wasn’t going as well as her brother’s high school football career. Forced to stay in the hospital for treatments the Woods’ family simply made Olivia’s hospital room their home.

“After school he would head to the hospital to spend the evenings with her,” said Mr. Woods.

“He did his homework in the hospital in the evenings,” said Mrs. Woods. “So he was a big part of the support system that we had there.”

“We were there so much every day, after school and after practice,” said Robert. “We would go right to the hospital and spend the night with her. It was like we were at home. The doctors would come and visit, but when they left we would talk, watch TV, play games. We weren’t really in the hospital in our minds. We were just trying to make it family time.”

Robert’s sister never heard about or saw her brother’s sophomore season when he made the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Sophomore team. She passed on April 19, 2007. Their high school was closed on the day of her funeral so the student body could pay their respects.

“We had a very large funeral for her,” said Mr. Woods. “There were about 1,500 people who attended. People from our places of work, family, friends and students. The doctors from the hospital, the nurses were there. They planted a tree for her at school.”

“She touched a lot of lives and I think she was just an amazing girl that I will never forget,” said Mrs. Woods. “Robert was very strong amazingly through her passing. He was very, very strong.”

Woods would go on to post eye-popping statistics in his junior and senior season at Serra. He rolled up more than 1,700 yards receiving with 19 touchdowns and two more touchdowns on returns on defense his junior year. By his senior season Woods was a USA Today All-First team member and a Parade All-American among dozens of other accolades.

He chose to attend USC with fellow high school teammate Marqise Lee, where he took quickly to the college game. In his sophomore season he had 111 catches for almost 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns in a 13-game season.

Throughout his college career, Woods paid tribute to his sister by drawing a giant letter ‘O’ on his wrist tape with a black marker. Such a gesture would get Woods fined in the NFL, so instead during pre-game warmups he kneels and says a prayer.

“I always run down to the corner of the field and say a prayer and do a little ‘O’ up,” said Woods touching the tip of his thumb and index finger together to shape the letter ‘O’. “I go out there and play for her and play for my family. Some plays I feel like she’s right there with me making those plays. I’ve always felt like that since high school where I say to myself, ‘Yeah my sister was with me on that one.’ So she’s had a big role and a big impact on my game.”

Woods still feels his sister’s presence and he and his parents still talk about Olivia.

“No matter what she’s always my sister,” he said. “Yes, she passed away, but I’ll always remember her and always acknowledge her. I think it does make them proud that I play for her and still acknowledge her when I play.”

“Robert is a person who needs to know exactly what he has to do,” said Mrs. Woods. “He wants to know where he needs to improve and what he can do differently to accomplish that. He aims to please and always wants to do the right thing to get better. I think that coaches recognize that in him.”

In addition to taking his NFL career to the next level, Woods is now three classes shy of getting his degree from USC in public policy development with a focus in real estate. Next offseason he’ll officially graduate.

“I think she’d be very proud of me just because I’m in a good position being here in the NFL, but it doesn’t last forever,” said Woods of his sister. “I’m still working to get my degree and finish what I started. I know Olivia wanted to go to college and wanted a college degree and everything, but just to finish up what I started would be something she always preached herself. If you start something, finish it.”

All part of being a role model.

Kroenke Jr sees no reason why Henry could not take a similar route straight to the top and will make sure the former striker is among the candidates to replace Wenger if Arsenal are forced into a change.

During lengthy discussions, Kroenke Jr is believed to have already picked the brains of Henry on a range of subjects – including his plans to move into management.

Henry worked at Arsenal coaching the youth players as part of gaining his Uefa A licence and was offered a job with the Under-18s by the club until Wenger decided he could not combine the role with his work as a Sky Television pundit.

Eric Dier, the one Spurs player to to start the League Cup tie who had played in the league last weekend, said it was a test of the team’s “attitude” as to how they bounce back after a first domestic loss of the season.

Dier, who began his career in Portugal, also backed team-mate Vincent Janssen who has yet to score in the league, but has two League Cup penalties, since the striker’s £18 million move from AZ Alkmaar.

“I can speak from experience, when you come from a different country – he’s come from Holland. It’s not easy. Bills ink OL Calloway

content_img

The Bills are now a third of the way toward having their entire draft class under contract. Buffalo signed seventh-round draft choice Kyle Calloway to a multi-year deal Tuesday shortly after the team’s OTA practice.

“It’s awesome,” Calloway told Buffalobills.com moments after signing. “It’s a relief to finally actually feel a part of the team when I signed that contract. It’s a relief. I’m thankful. Thirty-two teams had a chance to draft me and Buffalo did and I’m glad that they had enough faith in me that I could help the team in whatever way they need me to.”

Calloway (6’7″ 315) was the second of two seventh-round draft picks made by the Bills this past April. The offensive lineman was initially projected by Buffalo’s coaching staff as a guard, but to this point in OTAs and the most recent voluntary minicamp offensive line coach Joe D’Alessandris has had Calloway primarily lined up at right tackle.

“Coach ‘D’ made it perfectly clear to me that I need to know both positions and be able to prospect of re-signing PSG star Neymar. While the Brazil attacker’s return has the support of the players, there’s disagreement inside the boardroom over the prospect.A high level source told L’Equipe: “A return of Neymar? This is not the majority op play both,” said Calloway. “I did rookie camp at guard and after that I c Vardy is up for a big performance tonight against Manchester City.Vardy has scored nine goals in eight games under Rodgers, including two in last week’s 3-0 win over Arsenal.”Well he does [strike fear into opponents] there’s no getting away from thaame back for OTAs in May and he just said that watching college tape he saw I was playing a lot of tackle and that I’d probably be more comfortable at tackle. So they kind of want me to learn the system as a tackle for now and be able to switch and go wherever.”

The Iowa productis wary blunting their attack by fixing their defensive lapses.Spurs have conceded 14 goals in eight games under their new head coach.”I know how to do it,” said Mourinho. “But to do it 100 per cent I am going to take away from the team some qualitie has fared well on the strong side, having played tackle for most of his last two collegiate seasons.

To make room for Calloway on Buffalo’s roster the Bills released cornerback Stephan Virgil. The rookie from Virginia Tech was an undrafted free agent signing of the club last month.

Calloway is the third of Buffalo’s nine draft choices to sign with the club joining Danny Batten and Ed Wang, who both signed over the past two weeks. Fellow seventh-round pick Levi Brown and sixth-round pick Arthur Moats are the only late round draft choices yet to sign.

Boston College vs. Kansas odds, predictions: 2019 college football picks from model on 18-6 run

content_img

It’s the Big 12 against the ACC on Friday night as the head east to face the . The nationally televised non-conference matchup kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Boston College (2-0) rolled to a 35-28 opening week win over . Meanwhile, Kansas (1-1) is coming off an eye-opening 12-7 loss to , but improvement is expected under new head coach Les Miles, who guided to a national title in 2007. Against the spread, the Eagles are 20-point favorites in the current Boston College vs. Kansas odds, down from an open of 21, with the over-under set at 51. These teams have never met and each had to replace more than half its starting lineup to begin the season, so before locking in any Kansas vs. Boston College picks and predictions, you need to see the results from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. Over the past four years, this proprietary computer model has generated a jaw-dropping $4,530 profit for $100 bettors on its top-rated spread picks.

The model enters Week 3 of the 2019 college football season on a blistering 18-6 run on its top-rated picks. It also called (+158) straight-up upset of and was all over (+23) against No. 10 in a game the Black Knights pushed to overtime and covered with a ton of room to spare. Anybody who has been following it is way up.

Now, it has set its sights on Boston College vs. Kansas. We can tell you the model is leaning under, but it also says one side of the spread hits in over 50 percent of simulations. That pick is available over at SportsLine.

The model knows quarterback and the Eagles have lit up oppadrid.Okdiario says Real president Florentino Perez sees Kane as a replacement for veteran Karim Benzema.Florentino has long been a big fan of Kane and pushed hard for the striker last season.Just last Friday, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino recogniseosing defenses so far, scoring 35 and 45 points in their two victories. And he’s not afraid to go downfield, averaging a whopping 19 yards per completion. He faces an inexperienced Kansas defense that is breaking in a new 3-4 scheme. Last season, Kansas gave up at least 48 points three times.

Boston College had its best season at home in a while last year, going 5-2. Kansas, meanwhile, has won just one road game since 2009 and covered the spread only 16 times in its last 53 road games. The Jayhawks have lost 18 of their last 22 road openers.

But just because the Eagles are humming and favored Friday doesn’t mean they’ll cover the Boston College vs. Kansas spread.

Kansas’ offense remains a work in progress, though the run game got it done on Saturday against Coastal Carolina. Pooka Williams, who last year rushed for 1,125 yards and seven touchdowns, gained 99 yards, while added 82. On Friday, the model says the pair will combine for 130 yards on the ground and over five senal job.Guardiola said he would not object to Arteta taking the Arsenal manager’s job should the Gunners decide to turn to their former player to succeed Unai Emery, who was dismissed on Friday morning.”I said many times with my players, staff, theyards per carry.

The Jayhawks’ defense has been a strengr factor.Arsenal are the visitors to Old Trafford on Monday night. And Fowler wrote for the Mirror: “The fear factor has been leaking away from Old Trafford for several years now – but now it has vanished entirely.”That is a huge problem for Oleth so far, allowing just 12 points per game and a scant 151 yards passing per game. B.C. likes to throw the ball, but its quarterback has completed only 57 percent of his passes.

USC vs. Texas score: Longhorns dominate No. 22 Trojans with impressive second half

content_img

needed a big win to get some heat off of coach Tom for granted in the Champions League. The Reds begin their defence of the title with a tricky game against the talented Italian outfit. And Klopp knows that if his side are not at their best, Napoli will be happy to pounce on any weaknesses. The last timHerman’s back. And a big win — the 900th in the illustrious history of the program — the Longhorns got in the form of a 37-14 beatdown of the No. 22 .

The final score didn’t reflect how tight things were for the first half. USC jumped out to a 14-3 lead after the first quarter but the Longhorns responded by chipping away at the lead and taking a 16-14 halftime advantage.

That’s when the floodgates opened. After scoring on its first offensive possession of the third quarter, Texas took a 50-yard blocked punt back for a touchdown to go up 30-13. Texas capped off the 21-point third quarter with a four-yard touchdown run by quarterback .

It wasn’t a perfect performance by Texas. Play-calling continld has explained the thought process behind his incredible crosses. The 22-year-old registered his 12th assist of the season in Monday’s win over West Ham United when he set-up Sadio Mane to tap home the winner.Asked whether he seeks out a teammate wiues to be a puzzle for this offense. A lot of Ehlinger’s passes were difficult throws downfield when there was space in the more intermediate part of the field. The running game only began asserting itself later as USC wore down, too. But it’s a win for Herman, and he needed one in the worst way.

It doesn’t matter a ton that USC has a lot of questions. The special teams were bad — the Trojans had shanked punts, a roughing the kicker penalty and the aforementioned blocked punt — and the offense had no ground game with just six yards rushing. That doesn’t help freshman quarterback , making just his second career road start. USC is now 1-2 and certainly doesn’t look like a team ready to compete for a Pac-12 championship.

Herman will take it, though. Afn attacker Anthony Knockaert. The Sun says the Cottagers have made contact with Brighton and while a formal offer has yet to be made, a £15million fee has been discussed.Knockaert will be tempted to drop down a division by the prospect of a hefty incter a horrid start to the season with a loss to and a tighter-than-necessary game with , Texas needed something good. There’s no rest for the weary, though, with coming to Austin next. USC gets on a short week. The Trojans have also lost back-to-back games by double digits.
