How two was better than one all night for Alabama vs. Oklahoma in the 2018 Orange Bowl

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — The Heisman Trophy winner ran circles around the No. 1 team in the country on Saturday night in the Orange Bowl. Kyler Murray made spectacular downfield throws, dizzying, darting runs and looked like, well, a Heisman Trophy winner.

But his entire performance was a postmortem show. The death blow had been delivered long before Murray staetired from international football. The midfielder, who has been in four World Cup squads and won 80 caps, joined League One side Southend United in the summer from Scottish Premiership club Hibernian.”It has been a privilege to be involved with the Srted tearing apart No. 1 Alabama as the Tide took a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter. And it wasn’t just the Heisman runner-up who took it to No. 4 Oklahoma early and often at the start of the game. It was a player across the line of scrimmage who also has a case for being considered the best player in the country.

Tua Tagovailoa, lining up behind center, and Quinnen Williams, lining up in front of center on defense, gave the Sooners 17 minutes of hell. By the time OU had its footing, even six straight scoring possessions weren’t enough to erase the deficit Tagovailoa, Williams and their supporting cast had created.

The beauty of the performance of both Tagovailoa and Williams is the way they unlock the rest of Nick Saban’s mighty roster. Tagovailoa was masterful, almost perfect, completing 24-of-27 attempts for 318 yards passing with  four touchdowns and no interceptions. Wide receiver Devonta Smith was his favorite target, and he jabbed the Oklahoma defense with slants for 104 yards on six catches. In total, a 2018 team record nine players caught passes for the Tide, including backup quarterback Jalen Hurts.

By his own admission, Tagovailoa was only 80-85 percent healthy on Wednesday. About 72 hours later, he looked 100 percent by any human standard. He was active in the pocket, successful scrambling and precise as a passer. Even when he did experience his first serious contact on the Tide’s second drive of the game, he threw a touchdown pass one play later. After some injury-hampered outings against Mississippi State, Auburn and Georgia, Tua looks like Tua again, and the offense is back to juggernaut status.

Of course, Oklahoma has a way of bringing out the best in an opposing offense. This is, after all, the same Sooners team that gave up 40 to Kansas. It also has a tendency to bring out the worst in a deer became a regular in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.He said: “Of course it’s hard to get to a big team.“But then it’s harder to stay there because you are competing with a lot of footballers that are such hard workers.“When you get to the big clfense, though. It even made Alabama look very uncharacteristic on Saturday but not before Williams got his paws on it for 17 minutes.

During that decisive 28-0 start, Williams was dominant. Like Tagovailoa, Williams’s domination helped to spread the production around. He only had one tackle himself on the night, but he was creating chaos on nearly every snap in that first quarter.

Behind Williams and the rest of that Alabama defensive front, Oklahoma’s award-winning offensive line looked overmatched. It took a full quarter for that unit to adjust to the best defender in . By the time it did, Oklahoma had been outgained 200-24, giving up two sacks and going 0 for 3 on third down tries. And it was down by three touchdowns.

Alabama’s two stars were better than Oklahoma’s one. It’s two units — including a defense able to contain Murray, other Premier League sides want to sign Butland, but have been put off by Stoke’s valuation, according to the Birmingham Mail. The Potters want more than £20 million for the 25-year-old, which no one is willing to pay.Stoke boss Nathan Jones confirm if only for a quarter-plus — were better than one. Alabama was better than Oklahoma, and it was clear from the start that what we all expected rang true: The Sooners were good but flawed.

And in this era of college football, with Alabama and Clemson playing at such an elite level, flawed teams need not apply.

Clemson vs. Georgia Tech: Prediction, pick, odds, line, TV channel, live stream, watch online

One way or another each year since 2005, the annual cross-division rivalry between No. 3  and  has been a major factor in the ACC championship race. The Tigers and Yellow Jackets have combined to appear in the ACC Championship Game nine times in that 12-year span, though it has been Clemson dominating the league — and this rivalry — over the last three seasons.

The Tigers have won three straight games againnst West Ham United was down to an increase in confidence. The Brazilian received the ball from Theo Walcott on the edge of the penalty box and went on a mazy run to score the opening goal in the 2-0 victory.Asked if he was intent on firing off a shotst the Jackets and six of the last eight regular-season meetings between the teams. Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables’ unit is not only loaded with talent, it seems to have Georgia Tech’s offense completely figured out, holding the Yellow Jackets to just 17 combined points in the last two meetings.

Avoid the upset. Clemson is playing the long game right now, favored (often heavily) against every opponent on its schedule and trying to establish a championship-level focus and the kind of habits that could be the difference in a Playoff game. That said, recent losses against (2017) and (2016) have proven that Clemson is not only far from unbeatable in ACC play but just a few plays away from having those playoff chances altered dramatically. If there’s a spot on the schedule where Clemson might be vulnerable, playing on the road against an all-too-familiar rival loSports says Bentaleb is on Tyneside having a medical with Newcastle, ahead of a loan move from Schalke, which is managed by former Huddersfield boss David Wagner.Bentaleb has had an agreement with Wagner to seek a move away from S04 since before Chrioks looks to be it — at least enough so to get Clemson’s full, undivided attention.

This is a very crucial part of the season for Georgia Tech to avoid making the 2018 campaign the third time in four years that the Yellow Jackets did not finish the season in a bowl game. Ever since going 11-3 in 2014 and beating in the Orange Bowl, Georgia Tech has been 18-21 and failed to finish with a winning record in ACC play. The setbacks this year have already started piling up: back-to-back close losses to USF and Pitt, injuries to star offensive players and now the potential of starting the year 1-3 with thrNew Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed he has plans for Federico Bernardeschi.Sarri admits he’s a big fan of the midfielder. He stated, “Everyone knows I like this lad, ever since Fiorentina-Napoli. “He is well-organised, has talent, but lacks a little bit of consistency from game to game.“I think this is the moment of his career where he needs to play consistently in one single role.”ee top-25 teams left on the schedule. Paul Johnson said this week it’s time to pull yourself up by your boot straps, so what kind of response will the Yellow Jackets have for the Tigers?

Game prediction, picks

Too many points here in a game where I expect Georgia Tech to play well with its back against the wall. Clemson knows it doesn’t need style points, it just needs wins, and it can ride the defense to another low-scoring victory.

Pick Six: Bowl season kicks into full gear with a busy slate of games to choose from

We’re through the warm-up period of bowl season. No more of this one game a day stuff. We’re approaching the full-blown “ignore your responsibilities and family” portion of bowl season. The time when there are multiple games on just about every day.

It’s the best time of year, and it’s made even better when you’re making money during it. Luckily for you, I’m here to help make sure that happens, so let’s get to it.

Games of the Week

: They say a man would have to be insane to take an under in the Bahamas Bowl. Ladies and gentlemen, I’m that whack job. I assure you that there’s a method to my madness, however. You see, Ohio has an efficient offense, but it’s not one I’d consider explosive. Plus, it’s strength is running the ball, and that always helps to chew up precious seconds when you need an under.

As for the UAB offense, it’s not great. Sure, it’s terrific that the Blazers are going to a bowl game in their first year back as a program, but UAB’s offense doesn’t light the world on fire. Using S&P+, its rushing offense ranks 82nd in the country while its passing attack is 107th. When it comes to explosiveness, UAB ranks 114th. So I can’t help but believe that total is a wee bit too high here. You know, as long as we can avoid a unt and Fikayo Tomori believe their confident starts to their Chelsea first team journeys is down to Frank Lampard. Both youngsters have stepped into the Blues first team and not looked out of place for a minute. The duo, who were on loan at Derby withtriple-overtime mind-melter, and since it’s the Bahamas Bowl, it’s a real possibility.

: Listen, I might be crazy enough to take an under in the Bahamas Bowl, but I’m not foolish enough to take one in this game. Instead, I’m going to go with the obvious answer in a game that’s likely going to come down to whichever team has the ball last.

South Florida leads the AAC in points allowed this year, giving up only 22.5 points per game. That number is very misleading, though. Against teams with winning records, the Bulls defense has allowed 38.5 points per game while Texas Tech is allowing 31.8 points per game. There are going to be touchdowns, and a lot of them.

Fun fact for you about San Diego State coach Rocky Long. Since he took over the program, the Aztecs have played 12 games against teams that run an option attack. Long has gone 11-1 in those games, winning by an average of 12.8 points per game. The one loss — which came to in the 2014 Poinsettia Bowl — came by a point.

San Diego State has played two options teams this season, beating 28-24 and 35-10. The Falcons and Lobos averaged 3.21 yards per carry against an Aztecs defense that ranks 37th against the run using S&P+ this season, and Army cannot throw the football. Do you get what I’m saying yet?

: I can picture it now. It’s Christmas Eve, and you’re surrounded by family and friends, growing frustrated because they keep trying to talk to you while you’re watching the Hawaii Bowl. Can’t they see you’re sweating an under? Don’t they realize that this third-and-three ae Belgium fullback has declared he expects to leave this summer – and L’Equipe says PSG management have now obliged by naming their price to sell.PSG are seeking €25m for Meunier, with Manchester United and Everton keen.Just recently, Meunier, who t midfield is the most crucial play of the game?

Well, fear not, because I’m quite confident about the under here. Neither team has what I’d consnchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects more additions before next week’s Premier League transfer deadline.United have agreed a fee with Leicester for England centre-back Harry Maguire. Solskjaer told PA: “We’re still hope one or two deals ider to be a potent offense, and current forecasts show that there will be 14+mph winds during this game. If you’ve read this column before, then you know how high winds and unders go together like Christmas and capitalism.

: I do fear that this could be a scenario in which Bill Snyder tells his team before the game that he’s retiring, and then they go out and play the game of their lives for their coach. I just can’t rely on that happening. What I can count on is that UCLA is the far more talented team in this matchup and that I believe the Bruins are being undervalued here. Now, I also know that I’m betting on UCLA, but I don’t think it’s a stupid decision now that Jim Mora is no longer coaching the team.

And, yes, I would like this even if  isn’t playing in the game. It’s equal parts roster talent and fading the public.

: I bet you’re surprised to see that I didn’t take the under in this game. Now, if that’s the direction you want to go here, I don’t blame you, but it’s just too popular an option for me. Instead, I’d rather take advantage of an Iowa team that’s being underestimated.

I’m not saying the Hawkeyes are much better than Boston College, but 2.5 points just seems small. Neither team has a great offense, but Iowa’s better defensively. So I expect a lower-scoring affair, but one the Hawkeyes will win.

Rape victim calls for Baylor to ‘shut down football’

The outrage inside Brenda Tracy bubbles up regularly. Baylor has seen to that lately.

The 42-year-old single mother of two young adult sons was pacing around her suburban Portland apartment last week — agitated — after she heard the news.

Tracy has no direct connection to the Baylor scandal — Art Briles being all but fired, blamed for enabling a culture of sexual assault that an independent report concluded had gone on for years.

She has no connection, yet she has every connection. Since the age of nine, Tracy says she has been raped by five different men. Two of them were Oregon State football players 17 years ago in Corvallis, Oregon. None has been brought to justice.

When the anger subsided last Thursday, Tracy came to a new realization.

“I live in this world,” she concluded, “where Baylor is the norm.”

You will be hearing a lot more about Tracy in the near future. Mark Emmert already has an , asking for the being called up.The Brazilian is in the process of securing a Spanish passport after declaring he’d like to play for La Roja.Moreno said, “Gabriel Paulista is processing his passport but right now he cannot be called up. When he gets his Spanish passNCAA to take the lead on sexual assault at its colleges.

Her story, revealed in late 2014, is a sad, graphic reminder the Baylor scandal doesn’t end at the entrance to Baylor. It bores into the minds of the assaulted who have to relive their own horrific details.

“I’ll tell you what should happen and it will be highly controversial,” Tracy said during a Monday phone interview.

Tracy says she was drugged and raped by four men at an off-campus party in Corvallis in 1998. The two Oregon State players involved were suspended for a game by then-coach that have emerged stating that he will be leading his country for the upcoming Nations League semi-final against the Netherlands. The Colossal Sports Management company issued a statement on Tuesday evening stating the City star will lead out his couMike Riley and made to do community service.

Her rape kit along with mountains of evidence — the players implicated each other — was eventually destroyed, gone forever when the statute of limitations ran out.

and incredible bravery by Tracy in November 2014, her story was hidden.

Now she wants her account used as a template for curing the scourge of sexual assault in college athletics. It starts with Baylor.

“I think they need to get rid of everybody and shut down the football program for one year. I think they need to start over [at Baylor],” Tracy said. “Otherwise, they’re just trying to put a Band-Aid on it. What did we learn from Penn State?”

A death penalty or even something resembling the Penn State penalties in the Sandusky scandal appears unlikely. Baylor is already in the rebuilding stage. It has fired Briles, reassigned president Ken Starr and seen athletic director Ian McCaw resign (while on probation). Jim Grobe has been hired as acting coach.

Football will go on. Baylor is moving on. The lives of the afflicted are damaged forever. Tracy is a shining example.

“To me, rape is the attempted murder of your spirit and your soul. …

I suffered, wanting to kill myself pretty much every day for 16 years and couldn’t because I had children,” she said. “I hated myself. I didn’t want to be inside my own body. Nightmares. PTSD. Weight and eating [problems]. I was a broken person. I didn’t want to be like that anymore.”

That’s before she emailed Canzano out of desperation. That’s before Oregon State president Ed Ray saw the story and not only apologized to her face-to-face but hired her as a consultant.

(That’s the same Ed Ray, it should be noted, who spearheaded the precedent-setting penalties against Penn State 2012 as a member of the NCAA’s executive committee.)

That was before Tracy was told that at least some of her assailants are living comfortably somewhere in California. She suspects they continue to torment her, leaving comments at the bottom of stories currently being written about her.

“The person writing the comments ha[s] details that I know it’s got to be one of them or a family member,” Tracy said. “[They say] I’ve ruined their lives and hurt them.

“I always say, ‘If you don’t like your part in the story, you should have played a better part.'”

Tracy’s story begins to explain a mystery of sexual assault — some victims don’t cooperate with law enforcement. At the time, she was confused, ashamed, hurt – in more ways than one. The nurse who oversaw Tracy’s post-rape exam told the Oregonian it was “among the most disturbing sex-assault exams I’ve ever administered.”

A flashlight was one of the pieces of evidence, according to the police report.

“That’s the thing that frustrates me the most,” she said. “I’ll have commentators and trolls online and they’ll say, ‘Brenda get over it. That happened 17 years ago.'”

It took until six years ago for Tracy to even tell her oldest son what had happened. where he is.The striker continues to be linked with European champions Liverpool. The 23-year-old has a £50million release clause in his contract and various reports have indicated that Jurgen Klopp’s side are expected to trigger it in a bid to brin They sat in her car in the driveway with Tracy sobbing, ‘I’m so sorry.’

She was already saddled with the memory of being assaulted by a family member between ages two and five. Tracy said a babysitter’s boyfriend raped her when she was nine.

“I felt if I said anything he’d kill me,” she said. “I didn’t say anything.”

Since the assault occurred off campus, Oregon State officials weren’t prepared (back then) for how to go forward. Tracy says she got two death threats.

“Nothing has changed in 17 years since I was raped. Baylor is another example, and it’s not the only school that is doing this,” she said. “How do I change this culture?”

Tracy has found new purpose in life since unloading her story to a sports columnist. She has been responsible for five new laws combating sexual assault in the state of Oregon. One of them extends the statute of limitations from six to 12 years in sexual assault cases.

With her help, the Pac-12 was encouraged to adopt a transfer rule. The SEC voted in a similar version. No school can take a transfer with serious misconduct issues.

Next month, she will be at Nebraska to speak to Riley and his players. Riley had promised to meet her when her story emerged at Oregon State. Shortly thereafter, he left for Lincoln, Nebraska.

In this story of betrayal, a promise has been kept. But Tracy’s biggest questions that day will be reserved for a quiet, private meeting with the coach. How much did Riley know about her assault when he gave those two players only a one-game suspension?

“It’s me being able to face my demons,” Tracy said. “This has been something that has plagued me for years. … In a selfish way, I’m hoping this trip helps me heal.”

So after a life of torment and pain, is there room for something close to forgiveness?

“Even if [Riley] did know and was complicit, such as the coach at Baylor,” Tracy said, “sometimes what happens in the past is not as important as what is moving forward.”

LOOK: Buffalo’s long snapper has some snapping skills

Long snappers generally don’t get a lot of attention, but they have an important job. While fans typically only pay attention to the field goal attempts or the punts themselves, if the snapper doesn’t get off the perfect snap, things can go really bad in a hurry.

But I’m guessing won’t have the problem very often.

Bulls punter Tyler Grassman tweeted some video of his long-snasea’s move to buy outright Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The Blues are close to signing loan flop Kovacic for £45million in a permanent deal.Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims Lampard will make the Real Madrid midfielder his fipper performing some impressive tricks on Wednesday. PHOTO: Wyoming and Utah State’s new rivalry trophy is a rifle

Rivalries are cool. Rivalry trophies make already-cool rivalries even cooler. And the cooler the trophy, the cooler the rivalry.

Meaning that between and is going to be about as cool as rivalries get. Here’s the series’ new traveling trophy, awarded for the first time Saturday, the “Bridger Rifle”:

The rivalry — and more importantly, the rifle — are named for legendary mountain man . From :

The winner of the annual conte he admits he doesn’t know the exact nature of the injury that kept the forward out of international duty. The 24-year-old, who joined the Gunners from Lille in a club-record £72million move over the summer, missed the Ivory Coast’s recent friendliesst will take home the traveling “Bridger Rifle,” a .50 caliber Rocky Mountain Hawken rifle that was popular among mountain men and widely considered to be what Bridger carried. Each year’s game score will be notched into the maple stock.

Absolutely no offense to, say, (whose history is storied and awesome), but carving game scores into the stock of a 19th-century rifle is just a wee bit cooler than painting them onto a water container … or just about anything else. There’s a nice logo, too:

Another wrinkle in the series between the Aggies and Cowboys is that’s it’s far from new; it’s been played 63 times, the first time in 1903. But USU and Wyoming .

“Our historic rivalry, geographic proximity* and institutional commonalities make a rivalry trophy a no-brainer,” USU AD Scott Barnes. “It’s gratifying to see a rivalry being restored when in so many cases recently, the wave of conference realignment has forced several tith Arsenal. The two managers will face-off later today at Emirates stadium.“The honeymoon period doesn’t go on for ever – and it shouldn’t do,” said Lampard.“But I think the fans will have a feeling for Arteta and want him to do well as being oo fall.”

There’s even some raised stakes for the inaugural Battle, with Utah State needing a win to clinch the Mountain Division title and a spot in the inaugural MW Championship Game. But when a win also means the right to celebrate with the “Bridger Rifle,” what other motivation do you really need?

Notre Dame’s Brian Kelly prepared if NFL offers come

When asked about the NFL for the first time on Saturday, Kelly said NFL teams would have to contact his agent to show interest but that .

I was able to circle back with Kelly about the intrigue of the , which, according to , has Kelly on its radar.

“How can you not be [intrigued]?” Kelly said. “When ys to put their feet up for the looming winter break. The winter break and general player fatigue are subjects addressed this weekend by Lampard, and he starts by detailing plans for the free fortnight if there is no replay against FA Cup opponents Hulou’ve coached football, you look at everything — you look at high school film and you watch coaches there, college, Division III to Division I, it doesn’t matter, college, NFL. All of that stuff intrigues me. I still think it comes down to time and place. What is the right time, and what is the right place? I never take any of that off the board.”

Kelly’s a smart guy. He knows might call after the game, win or lose, right?

“My agent would get a call, he’d run it by me, andn Klopp plans to use some fresh legs in Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Genk. The Reds take on Premier League title rivals Manchester City on Sunday.”We will hopefully have a couple of fresh legs in,” he said at his pre-match press conference.”I we’d go from there,” he said. “But, again, time and place.”

Is the right time and place next week, after the game?

“Time and place,” said a smiling Kelly as he walked off.

Kelly has a sweet job, the Irish have a chance to be really good next season and the coach’s popularity is growing in South Bend after three yeaull off the ultimate comeback against Barcelona on Tuesday night. The Reds are down 3-0 after the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.But Dalglish is backing the Merseyside club to overturn the deficit. He told the Sunday Post: “Of course, irs. But he has nothing to lose by at least having fun with the NFL thing. And it sounds like he’s being honest about the situation, playing the fairway between overstating allegiance to Notre Dame and overselling the NFL.

He has been a college lifer. But his personality would translate well to the NFL, and I think he knows it. Doesn’t mean he acts on it now.

After the season that the Irish had, Kelly will get more money next year regardless. So I’m not sure he needs to angle publicly for something like that. He’s just being honest — the NFL intrigues him.

Big East: NFL Draft prospect watch — Week 9

(US Presswire)

Here is the latest on the conference’s top players who are projected to go from playing on Saturdays to starring on Sundays.

With a stellar senior season, Nassib has moved up the draft charts more than any player in the conference. Though the Orange trailed 23-3 at halftime last Saturday at South Florida, Nassib didn’t panic. He responded with four second-half touchdowns, the last a game-winning, 1-yard pass to with three seconds left. Syracuse remained in contention for a bowl spot with the 37-36 victory. Nassib has a strong arm, goes through his progressions well and can run when needed. In a 42-41 opening-week loss to Northwestern, Nassib tied a for completions with 45 and set the conference all-time mark in attempts with 66. He also set a school record with 482 passing yards. On the season, the Orange quarterback ranks in the top 15 in FBS in total offense (326.5 yards per game).

203 of 310 (65.4 percent), 17 TDs, 8 INTs, 2,487 passing yards. INT.

Nassib is No. 90 overall, and the 10th-highest quarterback in .

ght-back Soares declared his intent to leave Saints at the expiration of his contract this summer.Asked whether he had spoken to Cedric about the defender’s future, Hasenhuttl replied: “At the moment no, because we have other problems.”I think every

Syracuse has a critical conference matchup on the road against Cincinnati. The Bearcats rank sixth in the Big East in total defense and last in the conference in pass defense (256.4 yards per game).

Greene is the leader of a stingy unit that might have been considered the top defense in the nation after Notre Dame before last week’s surprising loss to Kent State. The Scarlet Knights still rank sixth in FBS in run defense (88.5 yards per game) and seventh in scoring defense (14.25 ppg). It couldn’t be ac the USA’s clash with Cuba on Friday. The winger has had to bide his time on the Chelsea bench in recent weeks, but the 21-year-old says he is feeling in peak condition to play.”I feel the best I ever have. I feel very confident in my game. I’m not gocomplished without the ubiquitous outside linebacker. Greene quickly converges on running backs, sideline-to-sideline, is a menacing blitzer up the middle and looks more like a safety when dropping into pass coverage. In a 23-15 win over Syracuse on Oct. 13, Greene forced three fumbles, recorded 14 tackles, 1.5 sacks and intercepted a pass against the Orange. The senior has completely recovered from a he suffered in a 2011 Pinstripe Bowl win over Iowa State.

74 tackles, 5.5 TFLs, 3.5 sacks, 5 FFs, 4 PBUs.

Greene is ranked No. 63 overall and is the sixth-ranked outside linebacker in .

The Scarlet Knights have a bye before facing Army on Nov. 10. The Black Knights’ unorthodox rushing attack leads FBS in rushing yards per game (383.13).

The Panthers’ senior running back looked like  in Saturday’s 47-17 win over Temple. Slowed by a prolonged recovery from a serious knee injury, Graham regained his explosiveness and made cuts sharply in the dominating victory. Graham finished with 180 all-purpose yards. Greene’s half brother ranked in the top five in FBS in rushing yards when he tore a ligament in his knee last October against Connecticut.

630 rushing yards on 134 carries (4.70 yards per carry), 22 receptions for 244 yards, 9 TDs.

Graham is ranked No. 169 overall and the No. 14-ranked RB in . Graham’s injury may have caused the relatively low projection.

The Panthers travel to South Bend to face a Notre Dame defense that’s ranked in the top 15 nationally in four statistical categories. The Irish are ranked ninth in run defense (95.25) yards per game.

The Bearcats’ running game hasn’t skipped a beat after the departure of 2011 Big East Offensive Player of the Year Isaiah Pead to the . Winn opened the season with a against Pittsburgh. In last Friday’s showdown at Louisville, Winn put Cincinnati in position for an upset but the Bearcat defense couldn’t hold up in a 34-31 loss in overtime. The physical senior back rushed for 125 yards on 26 carries. Winn excels at sticking his foot in they came from behind to beat Real Madrid 2-1 at the Bernabeu in their Champions League last-16 first-leg clash.Isco had given the hosts the lead but Gabriel Jesus and a Kevin De Bruyne penalty, before Sergio Ramos’ late red card, ensured the Premier Le ground when making a cut and heading straight down the field. 746 rushing yards on 123 carries (6.06 yards per carry), 106.5 rushing yards per game, 4 TDs, five catches for 15 receiving yards.

Winn is ranked No. 601 overall and is the No. 47-ranked RB in .

Winn faces a Syracuse defense that gave up 388 yards on the ground last week against South Florida. In the Orange’s previous three games, though, Doug Marrone’s defense allowed just 75 rushing yards per game.

Pac-12: NFL Draft prospect watch — Week 7

(US Presswire)

Here’s the latest on the conference’s top players who are projected to star on Sundays.

Allen went up against Washington State’s 105th ranked defense on Saturday and took advantage of it. The junior wide receiver caught 11 passes for 166 yards, which were both season-highs. The 166-yard receiving total included a 69-yard TD catch, which was Allen’s longest of the season. The 11 receptions gives Allen 196 for his career, second on the school’s all-time list, trailing only Geoff McArthur’s (2000-04) 202.

: 52 receptions, 633 yards, 5 touchdowns; 3 carries, 39 yards, 1 touchdown.

Allen is ranked 10th overall and is the highest-rated WR in  With his numbers so far this season, Allen ire by paying Leicester City his £80m fee up front. The Telegraph says United paid almost all of the £85m deal – a world record transfer fee for a defender – in one lump sum in August. The Red Devils were close to paying the full fee up front but incls making a strong case to be a top-10 overall pick.

This Saturday is shaping up to be a historic one for Allen. With seven catches, the junior would become Cal’s all-time leader in receptions. The record will probably be even sweer into the EFL Trophy this season. An U21s side will represent the Reds in the competition for the first time in the club’s history, and Inglethorpe, speaking to the club’s official website, had revealed why the club made the decision to enter the comter for Allen if he sets it on Saturday, knowing he set it in the 115th Big Game against rival Stanford.

Wheaton had only five days to get comfortable with backup QB Cody Vaz before the Beavers played BYU on Saturday and apparently that’s all the pair needed. Wheaton was on the receiving end of two of Vaz’s three touchdown passes. The senior wide receiver also scored a TD on a 12-yard run. Overall, Wheaton had five catches for 66 yards in the game.

 41 catches for 564 yards and 6 TDs; 8 carries, 36 yards, 1 touchdown.

Wheaton is ranked 195th overall and is the 23rd-highest wide receiver in

The Beavers return to Pac-12 play against Utah. Wheaton may have trouble racking up yards against a Ute defense that ranks fourth in the Pac-12. Beaver starting QB Sean Mannion is questionable for the game, but that might not matter. Wheaton’s performance against BYU proves he can put up big numbers no matter who’s at quarterback.

The only reason Stanford was almost able to pull off the upset against No. 5 Notre Dame on Saturday is because of the nearly impenetrable Cardinal defense. Stanford limited the Irish to under 200 yards passing and under 200 yards rushing. As if that’s not enough, the Cardinal’s only touchdown of the game came on a fumble recovery in the end zone by Thomas, who also recorded four tackles.

 35 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 6 TFLs, 1 INT, 1 fumble recovery, 1 touchdown.

Thomas is ranked 55th overall and is the 5th-highest OLB in

Stanford will have to put the Notre Dame loss in the rearview mirror quickly because they have a big game this week. Literally. The Cardinal will make the short trip to Berkeley for the 115th Big Game against rival Cal. The Stanford defense will have its hands full with a resurgent Golden Bear offense that’s averaged 494 total yards per game the last two weeks.

Surprisingly, USC’s offense has become a run-heavy one lately and the biggest benefactor of this philosophy change has been Penn State-transfer Redd. The junior running back had 26 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown in the Trojans win over Washington. In USC’s last three games, Redd is averaging 21.3 carries and 130 yards.

: 101 carries, 570 yards, 6 touchdowns; 2 receptions, 39 yards.

Redd is ranked 144th overall and is the 12th highest-rated RB in

With USC focusing more on the running game lately, Redd could have his biggest game of the season when the Trojans host Colorado on Saturday. The Buff. The former Chelsea star’s start to his Real Madrid career has stalled due to injury.Zidane said, “We have to go calmly with him, he has returned a week ago. “We all want to see him, but you have to go calmly. There is a lot of pressure and interest aloes run defense is one of the worst in the Pac-12, surrendering 181.5 yards per game.

NCAA Football 13: If it’s revisionist Heisman blasphemy, it’s in the game

One of the keys to understanding the mind of a college football fan – and therefore to manipulate into buying things – is to remember a simple rule: Who you hate is every bit as important as who you love. And one of the many joys of following the college game as opposed to the pros is that there is virtually zehe intends to continue playing into his 40s.He told A Bola: “Right now, I’m not thinking of becoming a coach, but maybe, who knows? If one day I get bored and it tempts me … If I became a coach, I would be someone motivational. “During training, I ro chance that a college fan will ever, under any circumstances, have to endure the sight of a deified campus hero wearing the colors of a rival school. , it just isn’t done, you see.

So I can only assume, then, that video game titan EA Sports handed planning meetings for this year’s edition of its franchise, NCAA Football 13, over to some guy who just wandered across the hall from the Madden team… who also happens to be the CEO’s son… who also spent most of his undergraduate career in a coma, earning credits a subliminal marketing degree via books on tape. Because that is the only way I can imagine them :

Yes, the game’sity with League One Fleetwood and has been receiving rave reviews for his performances. The 21-year-old Australia international has helped Fleetwood into promotion contention and also earned him individual recognition as the English Football League’s new “Heisman Challenge” will enable players to alter time and space by dropping any of 16 former Heisman Trophy winners – Barry Sanders, Andre Ware, Herschel Walker, Robert Griffin III, Marcus Allen, Charlie Ward, Eddie George, Desmond Howard, Carson Palmer, Doug Flutie, Jim Plunkett, Archie Griffin, Tim Brown, Tim Tebow, Matt Leinart and Mark Ingram – onto any roster in the game, even in “Dynasty” mode, even if it happens to be one of their mortal enemy’s. (Or, judging from the trailer, esp Rummenigge admits James Rodriguez has chosen to return to parent club Real Madrid. At the Colombian’s request, the German club will not exercise the €42m option that was included in his two-year loan deal from Real Madrid.”We had a personal conversecially if it happens to be one of their mortal enemy’s.) In real life, for example, Carson Palmer , Robert Griffin and Desmond Howard in . Now, finally, you can imagine them inflicting the same pain on their former teammates for your amusement. The “challenge” is .

At least they had the good sense notto depict Cam Newton playing for , lest three-quarters of the state’s population spontaneously combust.

Of course, if they really want to sell more games, EA would let its engineers fix the “quick jump” that sends offensive linemen flying and superhuman linebackers who make passing over the middle impossible. But why do all that work when they can hook you with blasphemy?
