Boston College vs. Kansas odds, predictions: 2019 college football picks from model on 18-6 run

It’s the Big 12 against the ACC on Friday night as the head east to face the . The nationally televised non-conference matchup kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Boston College (2-0) rolled to a 35-28 opening week win over . Meanwhile, Kansas (1-1) is coming off an eye-opening 12-7 loss to , but improvement is expected under new head coach Les Miles, who guided to a national title in 2007. Against the spread, the Eagles are 20-point favorites in the current Boston College vs. Kansas odds, down from an open of 21, with the over-under set at 51. These teams have never met and each had to replace more than half its starting lineup to begin the season, so before locking in any Kansas vs. Boston College picks and predictions, you need to see the results from the SportsLine Projection Model.

The model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. Over the past four years, this proprietary computer model has generated a jaw-dropping $4,530 profit for $100 bettors on its top-rated spread picks.

The model enters Week 3 of the 2019 college football season on a blistering 18-6 run on its top-rated picks. It also called (+158) straight-up upset of and was all over (+23) against No. 10 in a game the Black Knights pushed to overtime and covered with a ton of room to spare. Anybody who has been following it is way up.

Now, it has set its sights on Boston College vs. Kansas. We can tell you the model is leaning under, but it also says one side of the spread hits in over 50 percent of simulations. That pick is available over at SportsLine.

The model knows quarterback and the Eagles have lit up oppadrid.Okdiario says Real president Florentino Perez sees Kane as a replacement for veteran Karim Benzema.Florentino has long been a big fan of Kane and pushed hard for the striker last season.Just last Friday, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino recogniseosing defenses so far, scoring 35 and 45 points in their two victories. And he’s not afraid to go downfield, averaging a whopping 19 yards per completion. He faces an inexperienced Kansas defense that is breaking in a new 3-4 scheme. Last season, Kansas gave up at least 48 points three times.

Boston College had its best season at home in a while last year, going 5-2. Kansas, meanwhile, has won just one road game since 2009 and covered the spread only 16 times in its last 53 road games. The Jayhawks have lost 18 of their last 22 road openers.

But just because the Eagles are humming and favored Friday doesn’t mean they’ll cover the Boston College vs. Kansas spread.

Kansas’ offense remains a work in progress, though the run game got it done on Saturday against Coastal Carolina. Pooka Williams, who last year rushed for 1,125 yards and seven touchdowns, gained 99 yards, while added 82. On Friday, the model says the pair will combine for 130 yards on the ground and over five senal job.Guardiola said he would not object to Arteta taking the Arsenal manager’s job should the Gunners decide to turn to their former player to succeed Unai Emery, who was dismissed on Friday morning.”I said many times with my players, staff, theyards per carry.

The Jayhawks’ defense has been a strengr factor.Arsenal are the visitors to Old Trafford on Monday night. And Fowler wrote for the Mirror: “The fear factor has been leaking away from Old Trafford for several years now – but now it has vanished entirely.”That is a huge problem for Oleth so far, allowing just 12 points per game and a scant 151 yards passing per game. B.C. likes to throw the ball, but its quarterback has completed only 57 percent of his passes.

But before you lock in your selections, be sure to check out the top Army vs. Navy game picks from SportsLine’s Projection Model.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS game 10,000 times, and those who have followed it have seen massive returns. The model made some huge calls during Championship Week, including nailing (-16.5) against and (-9.5) against . And when it comes to all top-rated picks, the model has been red-hot, entering the 2018 college football bowl season on a blistering 45-25 run. Anybody who has followed it is way, way up.

The model has simulated every possible play for Army vs. Navy ( won the trophy in 2016). As if this game needed any extra incentive, that should help make sure Navy is sharp.

Despite their lack of victories this season, the Midshipmen are still averagingy Italia says the former Roma captain has been included in the pre-selection list by Italy coach Roberto Mancini. Italy will play the next qualifying games for Euro 2020 against Greece (12 October) and Liechtenstein (15). The Greece match will be sta 289 yards rushing per game and have found an explosive playmaker in . WATCH: Arkansas’ Bret Bielema has hot takes on eggnog during the holidays

Orange juice isn’t just for breakfast anymore, and eggnog isn’t just for the holiday season — at least according to Bret Bielema. The Arkansas coach went on an inspired rant about eggnog and when/where it’s acceptable. In short, Ber United star Dimitar Berbatov has revealed his way of celebrating his first league title win.The Bulgarian claimed the honor at the end of the 2008-2009 season, when United won their third successive Premier League trophy. And he revealed that he coielema is of the “do you” belief in which eggnog is drinkable whenever, wherever.

Eggnog in July seems like a bad idea, but if that’ progress. The defender is starring on-loan with Leeds UnitoriaGuimaraes in Portugal to draw this Europa League tie 1-1.Shkodran Mustafi had provided the Gunners with the breakthrough with an unmarked header from a Nicolas Pepe free-kick with 10 minutes to go.But Vitoria came to life in the closing stages ited this season.Potter said: “It’s a great experience for him at Leeds.“It’s why you go on loan, to have that challenge.“He’s done really well and now they have a chance to get to the Pres Bielema’s M.O., by all means, go for it.

So don’t be surprised if Bielema is drinking something other than Gatorade in those little cups on the sideline during the Belk Bowl on Dec. 29 against Virginia Tech.

Michigan students plan ‘Khaki Out’ for Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh is not Michigan’s coach yet. Just about the entire world expects he will be soon enough, but it’s not official yet. Reports say that it could be official by Tuesday, however, with Harbaugh anticipated to be at Michi player at the club, and one you would desperately want in your five-a-side team at training. That is according to former Hoffenheim midfielder Pirmin Schwegler. Before he was someone labelled as ‘world-class’ by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Firminogan’s Big Ten basketball opener against Illinois.

And the Michigan student section is ready for him.

In honor of the man himself: Jim Harbaugh, Maize Rage will be hosting a “Khaki out” for the game on Tuesday. Wear your khakis and GO BLUE!

— Maize Rage (@UMMaizeRage)

I do believe this would be the first recorded “khaki out” in student section history, so it’s going to be a very important event.

I just hope that, if Harbaugh does show up to the game, he’s wearing khakis … because if he isn’t,his move to Real Madrid. The departing Flamengo attacker’s transfer was confirmed this morning. Real are paying €30m in total for the 18 year-old, with 80 per cent going to the club and the remaining 20 per cent being shared b victory at Everton. The Canaries won 2-0 at Goodison Park on Saturday.”People have to say what they want. It is our job to keep the club in the Premier League. We have begun this task and now we have to work on it,” said the Finn.”We have been missiny the agents and family it would be a bad omen.

Weekly Confidence Pool: The Long Con

For the last four years here at Eye On College Football I have run a weekly picks feature in which I competed against my girlfriend Lynn and my Playstation 3 in picking the week’s biggest college football games. Well, with EA Sports no longer producing a college football game, is no longer viable.

Who would have thought my relationship would outlast a video game that sold millions of copies a year?

Which means that we needed a new format because what’s the point of watching if you aren’t in the midst of a competition in which you can lord your superiority over your frirch is being linked with a move away from Aston Villa. The Birmingham Mail says according to reports, Pitarch is set to leave the club, regardless of how the season unfolds. The Villa sporting director has been with the club since 2018, when Dean Smithends and loved ones? So this year we’rr Milan coach Antonio Conte has taken aim at Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s record.Conte says he should get more respect as a coach, after comparing his achievements at Chelsea to the current Reds boss and Manchester City chief Pep Guardiola. The Italie going a bit old school and starting a weekly confidence pool in which the Eye On College Football writers (, and the incredibly handsome and intelligent ) will compete against one another for the right to talk a lot of smack.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of a confidence pool, it’s pretty simple. The three of us will pick any 10 games of our choosing each week and pick against the spread. The game we’re most confident in we’ll assign 10 points to, all the way down to one point for the game we have the least amount of confidence in. For each game we get correct we earn the amount of points we had assigned it.

At the end of the year the person with the most points will be crowned champion and showered with the scorn and jealousy of the two losers. I do not plan on being one of those losers.

So without further ado, let’s get to our picks for the week.

– No, the Buckeyes don’t have Braxton Miller. They do still have Joey Bosa, Michael Bennett, Adolphus Washington, and Noah Spence — quite possibly the best defensive line in the country, and one that should give even Navy’s savvy, experienced offensive line some major fits, even if Noah Spence isn’t playing. On the other side of the ball, J.T. Barrett doesn’t have the on-field exposure, but he does have the usual Urban Meyer-required athleticism and Meyer’s patented rushing schemes — the ones that made the Buckeyes the nation’s top rushing offense on a per-carry basis a year ago — at his disposal. Against the Midshipmen’s undersized (by Power 5 standards) front seven, that should be enough to cover a two-touchdown spread.

– Bo Pelini claims that FAU’s ugly split with Carl Pelini has no impact on Saturday’s game, but I’ll guess that biological loyalty will provide incentive to keep the gas pedal down on the Owls. FAU has been losing road games vs. P5 teams by 24-35 points, so I’ll gladly take the Huskers -21 and follow during the game for commentary.

– This spread is just too small. I know LSU is replacing a lot of skill players on offense, but some of the replacements (hello, Leonard Fournette) might actually be upgrades from last year. Plus the Tigers have four of five starters returning on the offensive line and it will be facing a Wisconsin defense without a single returning starter in the front seven. Oh, and Wisconsin will be starting Tanner McEvoy, who has thrown a total of zero passes in his college career. I only have to give up 4.5 points? Ok then.

Here are the rest of our picks.

Expert Picks: Confidence PoolConfidencenumberFornelliHinnenPatterson-4.5over Wisconsin-12.5over Navy-21over FAU-12.5over Navy-4.5over Wisconsin-24over Miami (Ohio)-17over Hawaii-23.5over UNLV-32.5over SMU+1.5over UCF-6.5over Tulane+20.5over Notre Dame-8over Rutgers-3.5over Miami (Fla.)-17over Hawaii-24over Miami (Ohio)-26.5over W. State+1.5over UCF-7.5over UTEP-10.5over Texas A&M+3over Kent State-10over Boise State

What stands out to me in our picks is that Chip has a lot of confidence in games Jerry and I won’t even touch. He has 34 points on Nebraska, Florida, Marshall and Rice while Jerry and I have eight points on those four teams between us, and Jerry doesn’t even touch any of them. Meanwhile Jerry and I assigned 10 points each to Ohio State and LSU respectively, while Chip only has a total of seven points on both.

So we can only assume that Chip knows something we don’t, or that he’s going to find himself in an early hole come next week.

Be sure to let us know how brilliant/stupid we are for our picks in the comments.

: Chip’s original eight-point game was Florida (-35.5) over Idaho. With that game being canceled due to weather, Jerry and I, being the kind, wonderful people that we are, allowed Chip to change his eight point game to Baylor (-32.5) over SMU.

SEC Media Days begin Monday, and and it’s too bad t at Tottenham, Townsend was fined in June 2013 by the Football Association and suspended for four months for breaching betting regulationsTownsend, 28, wrote on The Plachael Owen trained with Manchester United as a 13 year-old.He would go on to establish himself as one of the world’s premier marksmen during his time at Anfield before leaving for Real Madrid in 2004. What I’d like to know, though, is what the deal is with the helicopters flying over the stadium.

Is there some kind of military operation going on? Is Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin to illegally scout the game that’s going on? What’s happening there?

Dottie Sandusky: Victims were ‘manipulated’

The wife of Jerry Sandusky appeared on NBC’s Today Show on Wednesday and maintained that she believes her husband is innocent.

Dottie Sandusky told Matt Lauer that the victims were manipulated by lawyers interested in financial gain, and that her husband — who was convicted of 45 counts of sexual abuse in 2012 — has been telling the truth from the beginning.

“Do I believe him? I definitely believe him,” she said. “Because if I didn’t believe him, when I testified at trial, I could have not said what I said. I would have had to tell the truth.”

As for claims that she was a weak spouse, who was herself manipulated by her husband, Sandusky said that those allegations were baseless. Furthermore, she insisthed a 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Nou Camp on Sunday. An excellent Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang strike gave Arsenal the lead after 36 minutes. But Barca worked themselves into control of the game and exploited the Gunners’ defensive frailties in the ss the boys who had claimed they screamed were not telling the truth, since she would have heard it and done something about it.

“There was nothing that went on,” she said. “Because I was here. I will take you downstairs and let you see the basement. It is not a dungeon. It is not what those kids said. You can scream, and you can hear it up to the second floor.”

Sandusky was joined by filmmaker John Ziegler, who was adamant in his assertion that Sandusky is innocent. Ziegler has eager to keep hold of Jude Bellingham.Bellingham, 16, has been attracting scouts from a number of top clubs, including Manchester United. “The only thing I can say is that I have a lot of conversations with Jude to help him make the best of hims as important to them this season as the Premier League.Tottenham travel to Southampton, where they lost 1-0 on New Year’s Day, on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round, and Mourinho, who won the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2007, insists he will be treatingelspent the past two years researching the case and claims that the accusations simply don’t add up, including an assertion that the boy allegedly involved in the incident viewed by Mike Mcqueary has maintained to this day the event never occurred.

Ziegler also points to the issues surrounding Victim 6, who testified that he told his mother about he and Sandusky showering together, and she apparently told the coach that he’d never see her son again. Sandusky was said to have apologized and said to her that he wished he were dead.

“In the 1998 [case], you said the mother said, ‘You’ll never see my son again,’ ” Ziegler said to Lauer. “Well, guess what happened? For 13 years, Jerry Sandusky had a close relationship with her son, and she was well aware of it and acknowledged its existence. Thirteen years later, the boy you’re referencing sends Jerry Sandusky text messages: ‘Happy Father’s Day. I love you. Thank you for being in my life.’ Not one allegation in 13 years after that.”

Lauer goes on to point out that the Sanduskys and Ziegler’s stance is that everyone on the other side of the case has either been manipulated, or is lying.

The full interview, which runs for nearly an hour, is available at the Today Show’s .

Bob Stoops calls SEC’s reputation ‘propaganda’

Plenty of fans across the country have said the SEC isn’t nearly as strong as its reputation — or standing in the polls — might suggest, seven consecutive BCS titles or not. But even if they’d agree in private, few coaches have agreed in public as strongly as Bob Stoops did .

“So they’ve had the best team in ,” Stoops said at a “Sooner Caravan” Sooner fan gathering. “They haven’t had the whole conference. Because, again, half of ’em haven’t done much at all. I’m just asking you. You tell me …

“So you’re listening to a lot of propaganda that gets fed out to you,” . “You can look at the top two, three, four, five, six teams, and you can look at the bottom six, seven, eight, whatever they are. How well are they all doing? “What’d we [the Big 12] have, eight of 10 teams in bowl games this year? Again, you figure it all out.”

Stoops isn’t wrong when he argues that the r United midfielder Fred is emerging as a target for AS Roma.New Roma coach Paulo Fonseca worked New Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso is eager to hold onto Federico Chiesa. The attacker is being linked with a big money move away this summer. But Commisso says: “What I know is that Chiesa has a three-year contract, he will stay here for now, let’s hope. “I discovered what I read in the papers, but when as far as I know, Chiesa is a Fiorentina player and will remain for at least another year.”with Fred at Shakhtar Donetsk and has already recommended his addition to management.United paid €60m for Fred 18 months ago, but the Brazil internatiobottom rungs of the SEC haven’t offered much in recent years, or even that the Big 12 has been a deeper league of late; the latter actually put nine of its 10 teams in bowl games in 2012. Meanwhile, Kentucky and Auburn both finished a miserable 0-8 in SEC play with Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee all falling short of the postseason. All told, over the past two seasons, 38 percent of the SEC has failed to make a bowl game, compared to just 15 percent of the , or even that Kentucky’s better than, say, Iowa State. The SEC teams against which the Sooners are judged are the ones in its top half, the ones that have played eight BCS championship games against teams from other conferences and have won all eight — including, in both 2003 and 2008, games against none other than Stoops’ own Sooners.

The one way in which one league or the other’s bottom half might matter to the top teams in another is gauging which national title contender has played a more difficult schedule del Rey rout of Leganes.Barcelona eased into the next round of the Copa with a 5-0 victory over Leganes at the Camp Nou on Thursday evening and, with Griezmann opening the scoring on the night, the Frenchman has reiterated he is ready to play as a c– a factor that didn’t seem to make much difference to pollsters choosing between Alabama and Oklahoma State in 2011, but might matter substantially more with the forthcoming playoff selection committee. But again, even if the bottom end of the Big 12 offers more of a challenge than the bottom end of the SEC, does it matter when the SEC boasts four or five legitimate national title contenders to the Big 12’s two or three?

Again, Stoops can speak to that difference first-hand, since it was just January when his Sooners met Texas A&M — the SEC West’s third-place team in 2012, one that lost games to two SEC teams that didn’t make the SEC title game — and were destroyed, .

In short: is the SEC really so strong that teams like last season’s train wreck of an Arkansas squad deserve the benefit of the doubt? No. Is it strong enough that Bob Stoops should probably find other targets at which to aim his “propaganda” barbs? Yes.

Rutgers-Louisville history: Red Sea after historic 2006 win highlights rivalry

(Courtesy: Sunnydey)

When Rutgers plays Louisville in Thursday night’s highly anticipated showdown before a nationally televised audience, the could clinch a Big East title and a spot in the Bowl Championship Series for the first time in school history.

It could be hard to replicate the dramatic scene that ensued in the moments after Rutgers’ upseelix.Record says Benfica have four offers for Felix – and at least one meets their £105m asking price for the winger.Benfica have made it clear they will not sell Felix for below that price as that is his release clause, but the report claims they at over the then third-ranked in 2006. A game-winning 28-yard field goal by K Jeremy Ito lifted No. 15 Rutgers to a 28-25 victory — its first against a team ranked in the top 3.

Moments later, a swarm of Scarlet Knights’ fans rushed the field before the game’s final play, creating an enorthe last two seasons. The Belgian completed a move to the Spanish capital in the summer in a deal which could rise to more than £150million after spending seven years at Stamford Bridge. His final three seasons were spent under the guidance of Antoniomous sea of red. The frenzied celebration was delayed for several fleeting moments before the joyous students returned.

“Man, that was an awesome view,” said Rutgers DB Jason McCourty, who’s now with the Tennessee Titans. “We handed out white towels prior to the game. I remember being on the field, looking up and it really was crazy. That was a great night.”

Trailing 25-7 with 6:34 left in the second quarter, the Scarlet Knights’ defense shut out the Cardinals the rest of the game. At that point, Louisville QB Brian Brohm had passed for 115 yards and a touchdown. After the score, Brohm went 7 of 15 for 48 yards.

“We made plays, Coach (Greg) Schiano started to dial up a little bit and we continued to blitz throughout the second half,” McCourty said. “I know that the second half we came out firing on them.”

Behind the stellar running of Ray Rice, the Scarlet Knights slowly cut into the margin. Less than two minutes after Arthur Carmody gave the Cardinals’ the 18-point lead, Rice scored on an 18-yard run to get Rutgers back in the game by halftime.

“That was one thing about us that year, we continued to believe,” McCourty said. “What we were saying at that point was chop — we just continued to chop whether we were going to win or lose we just stayed in the moment and worked our butts off.”

Late in the third quarter an outstretched Kenny Britt caught a Mike Teel pass across the middle and broke loose for a 67-yard gain. Former Louisville DB William Gay jarred the ball loose from behind, but Britt recovered it at the 5. One play later, the Ravens’ All-Pro running back scored his second touchdown.

“Our running back got stronger throughout the game, not only in that game but in every game that year,” McCourty added. “He was just a beast.”

A season earlier, Rutgers struggled to contain Brohm in a 56-5 loss in Louisville. Brohm threw for 336 yards and scored four touchdowns in the rout. Even without injured RB Michael Bush, the Cardinals produced 500 yards of total offense.

“They were totally different years,” McCourty said. “I know he (Coach Schiano) was fired up in the locker room after that game. He gave us a little piece of his mind. When you get whooped like that you want to come back and make a statement.”

Although Rutgers has a 7-4 advantage in the rivalry, Louisville has won the past two meetings. The Scarlet Knights shut out the Cardinals 34-0 in 1976 and held Louisville scoreless 10 years later in a 41-0 victory. Though Louisville’s 51-point win is the largest margin in series history, the Cardinals fell to the Scarlet Knights 63-14 in 2008. A Rutgers’ Football T-shirt hung from McCourty’s locker on Thursday afternoon.

McCourty has a friendly wager with Titans OT Byron Stingily, a former Louisville offensive lineman.

“There’s none that I can discuss, but come tomorrow he’ll be taking a picture with a Rutgers shirt on,” McCourty said.

For Sunday’s defeat.Barca lost 2-0, with both goals struck after halftime.Setien said, “I think we have done a good first-half. They have done it in the second. Indiana QB Tre Roberson learning when to stay or go

Indiana coach Kevin Wilson has a clear message for quarterback : we are only as good as you play.

“The conversation I’ve had with quarterback is we’re not going to be a good team in the Big Ten with average quarterback play, that is a fact,” he said. “We better be the better quarterbacks in the league and we better play at a high end if we expect to win and start playing quality Big Ten football.”

And the sophomore signal caller has flashed an ability to play at an elite level.

Roberson appeared in nine games last season, completing 57 percent of his passes for 937 yards with three touchdowns against six interceptions while rushing for 426 yards with two touchdowns on 109 carries. Still, it wasn’t enough to spark an offense last year that ranked 101st naia Dortmund, refused to say he would directly replace Eden Hazard, who joined Real Madrid this summer. But the 20-year-old thinks he has the abilities to excel at Stamford Bridge.”I think I have a lot of speed and creativity that I can bring to the gationally in scoring (21.4 ppg), 80th in passing (199.4 ypg) and 53rd in rushing (161 ypg).

The key to improving on those numbers, according to Roberson, is improving his completion percentage by getting better at reading defenses before the snap.

“This year, I’m seeing when safeties are rotating or the coverage they might be,” Roberson told the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. he will find solutions to the team’s problems in the next few days. The Toffees face one of the most important games of their season – a Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday.Silva knows that a poor result and performance against their fier“Or I’m reading linebackers or reading the keys I’m supposed to be reading.”

Wilson agrees with his budding star, adding Roberson also must get used to hanging in the pocket and not taking off as soon as he feels the rush. Some of the biggest pass plays in a game come from a signal caller eluding the rush but remaining composed instead of tucking the ball and trying to create on his own.

“We need (Roberson) to sit in the pocket and process cover-3, cover-2 and where does the ball need to go?” Wilson told the Indianapolis Star. “We just need to spend a little more time with that. Sometimes he’s going to be in the pocket and it’s going to break down and he’s going to have to run. So I’m not saying don’t run. I’m just trying to help him with making the right decisions.”

If Roberson can make the leap, the have a chance to play in a bowl game for just the second time since 1993. And the schedule sets up nicely. The non-conference slate of Indiana State, Massachusetts, Ball State and Navy are all very winnable. After that, the team simply needs to record two Big Ten victories to become eligible for the postseason.

“Tre has developed,” Indiana assistant offensive coordinator Kevin Johns told The Journal Gazette. “I think ever Aaron Wan-Bissaka is at Carrington today as Manchester United prepare to announce his £50m transfer.Wan-Bissaka, 21, has agreed a six-year deal with the Red Devils, worth £80,000-a-week and becomes United’s fifth-most expensive signing in historeryone is going to see a different Tre Roberson this fall than what they did last fall.”
